8:09 PM EST: A large, damaging hail event has occurred within the last hour in the Northern portions of the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex region. The hardest hit areas are shown in red and orange on the below screenshot from the StormIntellegence hail swath map:

The hardest hit areas with hail of 1.5 inch or larger include the following zip codes and general geographic areas:
75166 – Wylie
75002, 75013 – Allen
75034, 75035 – Frisco
76227 – Krugerville/Denton
76207 – Denton
76249 – Krum/Denton
Preliminary estimates indicate that approximately 56,000 single family homes were impacted by hail of at least 1.5 inch and as large as 3.0 inches in diameter in the above specified areas.
